ORDINANCE NO. 30 

WHEREAS, 55 ILCS 5/4-5001 provides that the statutory County Sheriff fees may be increased by the County Board if an increase is "justified by an acceptable cost study showing that the fees allowed by this section (55 ILCS 5/4-5001) are not sufficient to cover the costs of providing the services", and

WHEREAS, 55 ILCS 5/5001 requires a statement of the costs of providing the each service, program and activity be prepared and be part of the public record; and

WHEREAS, 730 ILCS 125/17 provides that the Sheriff may seek reimbursement for medical treatment costs; and

WHEREAS, a statement of costs and cost analysis prepared by Bellwether LLC has been prepared and is attached hereto and made a part hereof and labeled Exhibit A; and

WHEREAS, based on the Bellwether LLC study and the recommendation of the Wabash County Sheriff, the Wabash County Board agrees that the County Code should be amended as follows:

• PROCESS SERVICE                           $38.00
• MAILED SERVICE                              $16.00
• RETURNED SERVICE                        $7.00
• WORK RELEASE                                $30.00
• SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION     $30.00
• EVICTIONS/REPLEVIN                      $51.00
• BAIL BOND FEE                                $38.00

EFFECTIVE on this 1st day of December, 2018.
