On 02/11/17 the Wabash County Sheriff's Office took a complaint form a man that had walked into the Sheriff's Office claiming he had been ran over by a vehicle. Through the investigation the deputy learned this man had been picked up by his father earlier in the evening. While en route back to their residence it is alleged that 19 year old Bridger A. Kolb of Mt. Carmel, struck the windshield of the vehicle as it was traveling 55 mph down the highway. Kolb then struck the driver in the right side of the face, causing the driver do rapidly decrease his speed. At this point Kolb jumped from the moving vehicle. The driver stopped and backed up to check the well being of Kolb. This is where the 19 year old claims he was run over.
Subsequently following the investigation Bridger A. Kolb was arrested for Criminal Damage to Property and Domestic Battery. He was released on 02/13/17 after posting $500 cash bail.
